phonics master course
Introduction
The goal of phonics is to enable beginning readers to decode new written words by sounding them out, or in phonics terms, blending the sound-spelling patterns.
Learn by listening, followed by speaking and finally reading and writing. Learning how to listen and speak is the important stepping stone to success.
Students will improve their reading skills using this synthetic phonics system, which has been developed after many years of research, using the best techniques gathered from 5 famous phonics systems and taught by a Native British English speaker. Synthetic phonics is now the accepted method of teaching reading in the educational systems in the UK and Australia.
Content
Level 1 Letter sounds (18 lessons)
This foundation level of phonics teaches how to correctly pronounce the basic letter sounds.
Level 2 Combining basic sounds (18 lessons)
Teaches children how to put the basic sounds together and learn to read basic words using word families and recognizing the beginning and ending sounds of words.
Level 3 True Master (18 lessons)
This course covers
- • word families,
- • long vowels,
- • silent letters,
- • magic e,
- • two vowels together,
- • soft and hard sounds, and
- • ‘r’ controlled sounds
- The course has word dictation, prefixes, suffixes and reading practice.

By successfully completing this course, students will:
- • Read with increased confidence.
- • Pronounce with correct voice, intonation and phrasing.
- • Learn the common rules of reading.
- • Decode new written words.
- • Learn the most important sounds: short vowels, long vowels, schwa sound, consonants, r-controlled, silent ‘e’, two vowels together plus more.
- • Get an individual student evaluation

課程簡介
如果初學英語的小朋友能夠很容易就把書本上的文字朗讀出來，必定會對生字記憶有顯著得益。學懂拼音就可以幫助他們把基礎語音併讀，再艱難的文字都會變得容易。
再想一想，要學好語言，其實都是要經過 '聽'、'講'，之後才 '閱讀' 和 '寫'。不是嘛？只要回想我們小時學母語就知道。
所以，學習如何 '聽' 和 ’講’，是學好英文最重要的階段。 要贏在起跑線，首要學好phonics。
同學如學懂一個簡單易明的拼音系統，將大大提高他們的閱讀技能。我們所使用的這套 ’合成拼音系統’，是在目前已知的拼音方法中，最合適香港小童需要。它集合了來自5個著名拼音系統的優點再加撮粹，並由英籍本土英語老師教授。現時在英國和澳洲的教育機構都普及使用 '合成拼音系統’ 。
課程並不只顧填鴨式灌輸，反著重融會貫通，所以用上 ’Master(技巧把握／大師)' 這字。

發音大師初階（18課）
這個基礎的拼音課程將會教導小朋友如何正確發出基本字音。學會將文字分拆成一個個音節、押韻等，是掌握英語最重要的基礎技巧。要贏在起跑線，首要學好phonics。
發音大師中階（18課）
中階會教孩子們如何把基本的聲音併在一起，學習基本詞彙組合音和認識開始音和結束音的使用。成熟運用這技巧可大大協助小朋友把英文生字拼出，減低對英文的恐懼。要贏在起跑線，首要學好phonics。
發音大師高階（18課）
本課程涵蓋
- • 單詞組
- • 長元音
- • 沉默字母
- • 魔法E
- • 兩個元音併在一起
- • 軟，硬音
- • 'R'控制音
課程亦包括單詞朗讀默書，前綴，後綴使用和閱讀練習。學得的技巧可大大提升小朋友的英語發音及咬字的準確度、英語拼寫能力。
修畢後學員可以得到甚麼
